Heading tot he Chicago store this weekend and wanted to know if this set is worth $196. My daughter is dying for it. Gave her the option of this or a bunch of little item she wanted. Thanks

I haven't seen it in person, but the pics make it look great. I can't blame your dd for wanting it. I would too, if I had the room for it.

Personally I'd rather go for a bunch of little things or outfits. I think I would get more use out of them. I've only seen the bed in its display case at AGPC, but not in use.

Check out my siggy albums. There's a picture of it somewhere. I love it. I pick a favorite doll, and that's the one who gets to sleep in it!

In case you didn't see it, the 3-in-1 bed is on the retirements list a member got from her PS. It's up under 'more molly retirements' and also includes other AGOT items.

    Make that "new molly retirements".

My 9yo has the 3-in-1 bed. She loves everything about it-the little bookends, the lights, the stickers, folding it up, the vanity area, even choosing which outfits to hang in the closet. But wow, is it really $196? Hers came from MCM and the bedding from the clearance page.

If she doesn't have any other bed, I vote for getting it. But I may not be a good person to ask...we want it all! The alternative would be to find a retired bed set. The yellow trundle doesn't sell for nearly as much on eBay and it sleeps 2.

Other beds may sleep more dolls, but none of the beds is an entire "bedroom" in itself, which the 3 in 1 is. It also has working lights (with the help of a battery. There are 4 of them. 2 on each side of the bed, 1 above the bed, and 1 in the vanity area. How cool is that?!!! I was *starry eyed* when I saw it on Christmas from my DH!!!! I was "wowed" and even non-doll people appreciated its coolness!!!

    Wink

3 in 1 it is! It really is cool, we check it out every time we go to the store. Thanks for the advice on the retirement list. When I told DD about that she said that's the way to go, she can be pretty logical for a 7 year old. Now she's pushing for the crutches and cast thing as if the bed isn't enough, I mean this is just because we're heading to the city-no special occasion. I wonder where she gets that from? hmmmm...........(probably her dad lol)
